Start here

  • Getting started. The whole WranglePress setup as a checklist, from adding your first site and checking the preview to going live on your own domain.

Set up a site

  • Add a site. Add a WordPress® site, or another kind of website, to WranglePress, and find your way around the site page: builds, preview, domain and settings.
  • Sites that aren't WordPress. Use WranglePress with Joomla, Drupal, hand-built and other websites, and what's different from WordPress.
  • Install the connector plugin. Install and connect the WranglePress Connector plugin so every publish rebuilds your site.
  • Builds and the preview. How builds work, how long they take, and how to check the unlisted preview before going live.
  • Forms. How contact forms work on the static copy, the two form modes, recipients and the submissions log.

Go live

  • Connect your domain. Prove you own your domain with a TXT record, then point it at WranglePress: the DNS records to add, and how to check they work.
  • Go live. Publish a build and point your domain at WranglePress with no downtime: the DNS records to add, the certificate, and checking the live site.
  • Make WordPress private. Move WordPress to a private address behind a login, give WranglePress a key to read it, and close the back door.
  • Retire WordPress. Switch WordPress off for good and keep the site online as it is, with no hosting for WordPress, updates or patches.
  • Edit your site here. Edit a site on WranglePress instead of WordPress: click and type on the page, shared headers, footers and sections, new pages, versions and AI assistants.

Day to day

  • Publishing, rollback and taking a site offline. How changes reach the live site, how to roll back to an earlier build or version, and how to take a site offline and back online.
  • Download your site. Get a ZIP of every page and file of a build, to keep as a backup or put on another host. Large downloads resume if interrupted.
  • What works on the static copy. Which WordPress features work on the static copy, which need a setting, and which don't work.
  • Troubleshooting. Fixes for failed builds, missing pages, broken styles, forms that don't arrive, domains and certificates.

Account

  • Use WranglePress from an AI assistant. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor to WranglePress and manage many sites by asking in plain words.
  • Your team. Invite people to your team, choose their roles (owner, admin or member), see what each role can do, and decide whether clients need an account.
  • Plans and billing. The free trial, choosing a plan, changing plans, invoices and cancelling: what each step does and what happens to your sites.
  • Security and your data. What WranglePress protects, what you still need to look after yourself, and what data we keep about you and your sites.
