Getting started
From sign-up to a working preview takes about 15 minutes. Going live takes a few DNS changes, which you make when you're ready. Nothing changes on your live site until you choose to go live.
1. Create your account
Sign up with your name, email and a password, then confirm your email. You get a 14-day free trial with room for 2 sites. No card needed.
2. Add your site
In the dashboard, click Add a site and enter its current address, like https://www.example.com.
3. Connect the plugin (recommended)
Download the WranglePress Connector plugin from your site's page in the dashboard. In WordPress®, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload it and activate it. Then open Settings → WranglePress and paste the connection key from the dashboard.
The plugin lets us find every page and rebuild whenever you publish. It never sends us passwords. You can skip it for a first try; we'll find pages by following links and your sitemap.
4. Build and preview
Click Build now. When it finishes, open the preview link. Click through the pages and send a test form.
5. Go live
- Enter your public domain and prove you own it by adding one DNS record we show you.
- Click Publish. Nothing changes yet: the domain still points at your host.
- Point the domain at WranglePress with one more DNS record. We set up the certificate for you, and visitors get the static copy as DNS updates.
- Decide what happens to WordPress. Keep it: move it to an address like
wp.example.comwith a login in front, and update the WordPress address in your site settings. Or retire it: back it up, set forms to email mode, and cancel the hosting. The site stays online as it is.
Prefer to chat? Connect your AI assistant under AI assistants in the dashboard, and it can do steps 2 to 5 for you, for one site or many. See AI assistants.
Every step has a detailed guide inside the dashboard, under Help. Stuck? Email support@wranglepress.com and a person will answer.
