What works with WranglePress
WranglePress is made for sites where every visitor sees the same pages: business sites, portfolios, blogs, local services, nonprofits, landing pages and old sites that just need to stay up.
Works as is
| What | Notes |
|---|---|
| Any theme | Including the block editor, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Bricks and classic themes |
| Pages, posts, categories, tags, archives | All copied, with the same web addresses |
| Images, fonts, styles and scripts | Copied with the pages, including the image sizes your pages use |
| Sitemaps, RSS feeds, robots.txt and your 404 page | Copied and kept up to date |
| Redirects you set up in WordPress® | Followed during the copy |
| Things that run in the browser | Sliders, galleries, YouTube, maps, analytics, chat widgets, cookie banners, booking widgets like Calendly |
| SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math and others) | Their titles, descriptions and sitemaps are in the pages we copy |
Works with a setting
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Contact forms | Contact Form 7 and WPForms directly; most simple forms too. Choose email or forward mode. Test on the preview |
| Form plugin features (saved entries, CRM or Mailchimp links) | Use forward mode, so submissions reach your private WordPress (needs WordPress kept, not retired) |
| Scheduled posts | Published when WordPress publishes them, if the connector plugin is installed. On a private WordPress, ask your host for a real cron job so they publish on time |
Doesn't work yet
| What | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Shop checkout and carts (WooCommerce) | Every shopper sees something different | Keep shops on normal hosting for WordPress |
| Member areas, course logins, password-protected pages | They need a logged-in visitor | Not a fit today |
| WordPress's built-in search | It runs a database query per search | A search box that sends visitors to Google, or a hosted search widget |
| WordPress comments | New comments need PHP | A comment service like Disqus, or turn comments off |
| Pages that load more items from WordPress as you scroll or filter | They call WordPress live | Use normal pagination where you can |
Not sure? Start a free trial and run a build. It doesn't change your live site, and the preview shows you exactly what the copy looks like.
Sites that aren't WordPress
WranglePress was made for WordPress, but it copies any website that shows every visitor the same pages: Joomla, Drupal, Craft, sites from older website builders, and hand-built sites. What's different:
| Updating the copy | Click Build now after you change the site, or ask your AI assistant. Automatic rebuilds on publish need the WordPress plugin |
| Finding pages | We follow your links and sitemap.xml |
| Forms | Simple forms that post back to the same site work in email mode. Test on the preview |
| Doesn't work | Pages your browser builds with JavaScript after loading, and page addresses ending in .php |
Limits
- Up to 5,000 pages and 25,000 files per site per build.
- Forms relay text fields. Files attached to a form aren't kept or sent (the email says so).
- To remove a site, first point its domain somewhere else: removal waits until the domain no longer points at WranglePress.
- One build at a time per site. Most sites build in a minute or two.
- Form submissions are kept for 30 days in your dashboard.
