# Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data WranglePress collects and what we do with it. In short: we collect what we need to run the service, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising trackers.

## Who we are

WranglePress is provided by **Webster Solutions, LLC**, 4000 Eagle Point Corporate Drive, Suite 750, Birmingham, Alabama 35242, USA. For data about our customers and the people who contact us, we decide how it's used (we're the "controller"). Email [support@wranglepress.com](mailto:support@wranglepress.com) with any privacy question.

## What we collect

| Data | From | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash) | You, when you sign up | To create your account and sign you in |
| Team members' names and emails | You, when you invite them | To send invitations and give access |
| Waitlist details (email, and optionally name, company, kind of business, number of sites and a note) | You, when you join the waitlist | To let you in when there's room, and to plan who we build for |
| AI assistant connections and API keys (the app's name, when it was connected; keys stored only as a one-way hash) | You, when you connect one | To let your assistant act for you, and show you what's connected |
| Billing details | Stripe | To charge for your plan. Card numbers go to Stripe, never to us |
| Your sites' public pages and files | Your website | To serve your site |
| Basic site information (WordPress®, PHP and theme versions, plugin list) | The connector plugin, on WordPress sites | To build your site and help you fix problems |
| Form submissions from your visitors | Your visitors | To deliver them to you |
| Technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) | Your browser | To run the service, stop abuse and fix problems |

We set no cookies on the marketing site (wranglepress.com) and use no analytics trackers there. The dashboard uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, and the sign-up page may run Cloudflare Turnstile to stop automated sign-ups.

## Why we're allowed to use it

Where laws like the GDPR apply, we rely on:
- **Contract:** to provide the service you signed up for (account, sites, billing, support).
- **Legitimate interests:** to keep the service working and protected from abuse, to answer people who contact us, and to run the waitlist. You can object at any time.
- **Legal obligation:** to keep billing records for tax law.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you that have legal or similar effects.

## Visitors' form submissions

When a visitor fills in a form on a site served by WranglePress, we process the submission on behalf of the site's owner, who is the controller for it. The site owner decides what the form collects and who receives it, and is responsible for telling their visitors. We keep submissions for 30 days so the owner can see them in the dashboard, then delete them. Site owners who need a data processing agreement can email us for ours.

## Who processes data for us

- **Cloudflare, Inc.** hosts the service, its database and file storage, and the sites, on its worldwide network.
- **Stripe, Inc.** handles payments.
- **Twilio Inc. (SendGrid)** sends our emails and form emails.

They process data only to provide their service to us. We'll update this list before adding a new one.

## Where data is processed

We're based in the United States, and our service providers process data in the US and, for Cloudflare, in data centers around the world close to each visitor. Where data from the EU, UK or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses or our providers' certifications under the Data Privacy Framework.

## How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit. Sensitive values (such as connection keys, access tokens and form submissions) are also encrypted in storage. Passwords and API keys are stored only as one-way hashes. Only the people who run WranglePress can reach the systems that hold your data.

## How long we keep it

| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account data | While your account is open, then deleted within 30 days after it closes |
| Waitlist details | Until you create an account or ask us to remove you |
| Sites you remove | 30 days, so you can restore them; then their builds, downloads and form submissions are deleted. Copies of individual files can stay in storage after that until they're cleaned up; email us to have them purged |
| Form submissions | 30 days |
| Technical logs | Up to 30 days |
| Billing records | As long as tax law requires |

## Your rights

You can see, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can see most of it in your dashboard. To export or delete it, to close your account, or to leave the waitlist, email [support@wranglepress.com](mailto:support@wranglepress.com). We'll answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights:
- **EU, UK and Switzerland:** you can also object to or restrict how we use your data, and complain to your data protection authority.
- **California and other US states with privacy laws:** you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to delete or correct it, and we won't treat you differently for asking. We don't sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising, as those laws define it.

## Children

WranglePress is a service for businesses and isn't meant for children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16; if you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

## Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we'll email account holders before the change applies.
