For business owners

# Your website, without the scary headlines.

You have a WordPress® site that brings in customers. You're not a server expert, and you shouldn't have to be. WranglePress shows your visitors a copy of your site that has nothing for attackers to run. Keep WordPress privately for editing, or, if you rarely change the site, retire it and stop paying for hosting for WordPress.

## Will it break my site?

No. Here's what stays exactly the same:

- **How it looks.** We copy the finished pages, with all their pictures and styles.
- **Your contact form.** Messages still reach your inbox.
- **Your Google rankings.** Every page keeps its address.
- **How you edit, if you keep WordPress.** Log in and press Publish, like always.

And you can check everything first on a private preview link. Your live site doesn't change until you say so.

## Why this matters

When a WordPress site gets hacked, owners often find spam pages in Google, warnings in browsers, or a site that's simply gone. Cleaning it up typically costs **$250 to $350**, and getting Google traffic back can take months.

In October 2026, a flaw called [PHP2Shell](https://wranglepress.com/learn/php2shell) showed that even an up-to-date site could be at risk, because the fix had to come from your web host. With WranglePress, visitors' page requests only ever get saved pages, with no PHP behind them for an attacker to run.

## Keep WordPress, or let it go

If you update your site every week, keep WordPress. It moves to a private address and you edit as usual.

If your site hasn't changed in months, you can **retire WordPress**. The site stays online exactly as it looks today, you can cancel the hosting for WordPress, and there are no more plugin or PHP updates to worry about. If you ever need a change, your web person can restore WordPress from a backup.

## What you'll need

- Your WordPress login.
- The login for wherever your domain's settings are (often your domain company or host).
- About 15 minutes, and our [step-by-step guide](https://wranglepress.com/getting-started).

Not comfortable changing domain settings? Ask whoever built your site. They can do the whole setup for you, and it's a short job.

## Rather just ask?

If you use ChatGPT or Claude, you can connect it to WranglePress and ask it to set up your site, check that it's working, or show you new contact form messages. [Here's how](https://wranglepress.com/ai-assistants).

## What it doesn't do

WranglePress isn't for online shops with checkout or sites where visitors log in. If you keep WordPress, it still needs its updates now and then; if you retire it, it doesn't. We explain it all honestly on our [security page](https://wranglepress.com/security).
