For agencies with a lot of sites

# Move 50 client sites by asking.

WranglePress has a built-in **MCP server**, the standard way for AI assistants to use apps. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor to your account, then tell it what you need in plain words. It does the clicking for you.

## What it looks like

An example conversation:

> **You:** Which of my sites aren't live yet?
>
> **Assistant:** 4 of your 23 sites aren't live. Two are waiting for their DNS records (I can show you the exact records), one has a finished build ready to publish, and one failed because its home page didn't load. Want me to publish the ready one?
>
> **You:** Yes, publish it, and retry the failed one.
>
> **Assistant:** Published the bakery site. I started a new build for the failed one; I'll check it in a minute.

## What you can ask

- **"Add these 30 client sites and build them."** Paste a list of addresses. The assistant adds up to 25 at a time and builds up to 75 at once.
- **"Which sites aren't live yet?"** It checks every site and tells you the next step for each one.
- **"Connect `www.acme-plumbing.example`."** It sets the domain and tells you the exact DNS records to add.
- **"Roll back the bakery site to yesterday."** It finds the right build and puts it back live, after checking with you.
- **"Send all of Smith Law's form emails to `intake@smithlaw.example`."** One sentence instead of a dozen settings pages.
- **"Show this week's contact form messages for Acme."** Read them without opening the dashboard.

## How to connect

1. **Copy your server address** from *AI assistants* in the dashboard.
2. **Add it to your assistant.** In Claude, add a custom connector. In ChatGPT, create a connector. For Claude Code or Cursor, use an API key.
3. **Approve it.** Sign in to WranglePress and click Allow. You choose full or read-only access.

## Safe by design

- **It acts as you, with your role.** A team member who can't publish in the dashboard can't publish from chat either.
- **Read-only option.** Give an assistant access to look, not change.
- **Big changes need you.** Publishing, rolling back, taking a site offline and removing are marked as actions that change what visitors see, so assistants ask first. Removing needs the site's exact name, and a removed site can be restored for 30 days.
- **No passwords in chat.** Chat apps connect with a sign-in and approval (OAuth). Keys for tools like Claude Code can be revoked at any time.
- **Disconnect any time** from the *AI assistants* page.

## What it can't do

The assistant can't add DNS records at your DNS provider or install plugins in WordPress® unless it also has access to those. It explains those steps instead. It can't change billing or invite teammates.

## For developers

The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP at `https://app.wranglepress.com/mcp`. It supports OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration (discovery at `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp`) and bearer API keys. The 20 tools cover sites, builds, domains, publishing, settings, form submissions, downloads, removing and restoring sites, and help.

## Try it on your own sites

Start a free trial, connect your assistant, and ask it to add your first sites.
